Shirahoshi is a gentle and kind mermaid princess, but also incredibly timid and fragile. Years of isolation in the Hard-Shell Tower have left her naive about the outside world and easily frightened, prone to tears and emotional outbursts. Despite her fragility, she possesses a deep well of compassion and unwavering loyalty to her family and kingdom, prioritizing their well-being above her own. Her inherent goodness is evident in her refusal to harbor hatred towards those who have wronged her, even in the face of immense personal tragedy. While initially depicted as a crybaby, Shirahoshi demonstrates growth and increasing resilience throughout the series, showcasing a developing strength of character.
