EPISODE CONTEXT
Nine episodes in, Hayate no Gotoku! is still firmly in character-introduction territory, and this episode does meaningful work by bringing Hinagiku — the sharp, capable student council president — into closer orbit with Hayate. Following earlier episodes that established Hayate's near-ridiculous dedication to Nagi, this outing expands his world beyond the Sanzenin estate. The groundwork laid here for Hayate and Hinagiku's rapport will pay dividends as the season progresses.
