EPISODE CONTEXT
Five episodes in, the series is firmly in its character-introduction phase, still expanding Hayate's world beyond the core Nagi-Hayate dynamic established in the opening arc. This episode follows directly from Hayate settling into his early butler duties and broadens the cast with Sakuya, a recurring presence who will continue to shake things up going forward. It lays personality groundwork that later episodes will build on as the show's ensemble grows deeper into the 52-episode run.
