For years, Fuuko Izumo has avoided human contact because anyone she touches gets hit with catastrophic bad luck. Then she meets Andy, an immortal guy who literally cannot die no matter what happens to him. His regeneration is so absurd that Fuuko's curse barely fazes him — in fact, he kind of enjoys it. That's the dynamic at the heart of Undead Unluck, and this second season picks up right where things left off. The two of them are deeper into the world of Negators, people whose abilities are defined by negating a concept — Undead negates death, Unluck negates luck — and the shadowy Union organization that keeps tabs on all of them. The power system here is genuinely creative. Every ability follows strict rules tied to its concept, which means fights play out more like puzzles than brawls, with characters exploiting loopholes in how their powers interact. It's got that same energy as JoJo's Bizarre Adventure where strategy matters more than raw strength, but wrapped in a tone closer to Fire Force — slick action mixed with comedy that actually lands. If you liked Bleach's escalating power reveals and organizational politics, this scratches a similar itch. The balance between Fuuko and Andy's relationship and the larger world-building keeps things grounded even when the plot goes full shonen. Worth sticking with if the first season clicked for you.
