Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Summoned into a fantasy world by a goddess, Makoto Misumi barely arrives before she takes one look at him and basically says 'nah, you're ugly,' then dumps him in the wilderness. Most isekai protagonists get a heroic welcome — Makoto gets divine rejection. But here's the thing: he ends up absurdly powerful anyway, builds a whole community of demihumans who actually appreciate him, and starts running a business to prove demihumans belong in human society. Season 2 picks up with Makoto enrolling at Rotsgard Academy to learn magic and expand his merchant operations, all while the goddess who tossed him aside starts viewing him as a threat. The comedy hits well here — Makoto is hilariously overpowered but genuinely awkward about it, and his companions Tomoe and Mio have this chaotic energy that keeps things from ever feeling stale. At 25 episodes, this season has room to breathe, mixing academy life, business-building, and action without rushing through arcs. The vibe sits somewhere between That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime's nation-building appeal and Arifureta's 'rejected hero goes his own way' energy, but with a lighter comedic touch than either. If you liked Mushoku Tensei for the worldbuilding but wanted something less heavy and more fun, this fits that niche pretty well. J.C.Staff keeps the animation solid throughout, and the story rewards patience as Makoto's influence quietly grows into something the goddess can't ignore.
