EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the tentative forward momentum of Episode 3's initial date, Episode 4 uses Ami as an outside force pushing Kanan and Youji's relationship faster than either is ready for. It's a natural comedic escalation at the one-third mark of the season, where the groundwork has been laid and the story begins testing how these characters respond to pressure. Ami's interventions here are likely to plant seeds — romantic or comedic — that carry weight into the second half of the season.
