EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming directly off the Awa dance festival in episode 20, where Banri's suppressed memories broke through in a major way, this episode deepens that crisis rather than resolving it. Sitting at episode 21 of 24, it functions as a critical escalation point — the emotional fallout from Banri's identity struggle is now unavoidable and directly threatening his relationship with Kouko. Everything here is building toward the final three episodes, which will have to confront the consequences this episode lays bare.
