Kamui is a complex and disturbing character whose personality is defined by psychopathy, delusion, and a disturbing obsession with young boys. He displays a macabre fascination with violence and death, as evidenced by a past act of child murder which he experienced with ecstasy. His relationship with Kaoru is presented as delusional, masking a predatory nature. Despite his outwardly confident demeanor, he shows vulnerability and a tendency towards uncontrolled rage when faced with a superior opponent who challenges him. His affections shift erratically, as demonstrated by his sudden declaration of love for Recca after defeat.
