The air base is preparing for its annual air show with Hisone taking part. Unfortunately, she is still struggling to control Masotan, which makes it difficult for other pilots to fly with her. However, the stakes have for this air show have been elevated to new heights. It's up to Hisone and Masotan to make sure the show will be a success. The incredible flying scenes have made this episode one of my favorites so far. Definitely worth the watch!

Synopsis
Seeking to find purpose in her life, Hisone Amakasu enlists in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) and is stationed at Gifu Airbase. During a visit to a part of the base she did not know existed, she stumbles upon the JASDF's largest secret: the Organic Transformed Flyer (OTF), a dragon that has the ability to camouflage itself as an aircraft. After being swallowed up and spit out by the OTF, her commanding officers inform her that this encounter means that she has been chosen to be the next in a long line of Dragon Pilots. Together with her fellow pilot cadets and "Maso-tan," her own OTF, Hisone must overcome her insecurities in order to discover her true potential as a Dragon Pilot and unravel the secrets behind the OTFs. Quick Takes
View all 27 takesIn this episode, we see Hisone in conflict with Nao Kaizaki, another D-Pilot cadet who does not like Hisone at all. Because of this, she wants to make Hisone's life at the airbase miserable. Along the way, though, we do see a softer side of Kaizaki, and it's these moments that make me root for her as the series progresses. Overall, a solid, emotional episode!
P.S. I love the ED as well!
And just like that, we’ve reached the runway. The series finale of Hisone to Masotan lands with a brilliant ending that made makes fall in love with the show in the first place. It is a deeply satisfying conclusion that successfully ties up its character arcs while delivering a beautifully bittersweet farewell. A perfect end to a fantastic journey.
