EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting deep in the first World Martial Arts Tournament arc, episode 27 is the second of three episodes covering the Goku vs. Jackie Chun finals, following directly from 'The Grand Finals' and building toward the decisive conclusion in 'The Final Blow.' This tournament represents the first major test of everything Goku learned under Master Roshi's training, and the outcome here will shape the direction of his journey through the remaining 126 episodes.
