EPISODE CONTEXT

At episode 6 of 24, the series is still in its early stretch of establishing Desert Punk's world, reputation, and recurring relationships — particularly his dynamic with Junko Asagiri and the various clients and rivals that populate the Great Kanto Desert. The first handful of episodes built Kanta's persona as a cunning mercenary undone by his own vices, and this episode continues that foundation before the series begins threading longer-running plot threads in its second half.
