Synopsis

Hiroshi Houjou's life takes an unexpected turn after his mother's passing. His father, whom he hasn't seen in years, reappears, bringing along a new wife, a renowned actress, and her daughter, Rina Yuuki, a popular and beautiful idol singer. This sudden influx of family members significantly alters Hiroshi's previously established life and introduces new complexities and relationships into his daily routine.

Chinatsu Kano

Age: 17 (16 prior to chapter 45) Birthdate: August 26th Blood type: A Club: Girls' Basketball Club Uniform Number: 10 A second-year attending Eimei Senior High School as well as a member of the girls' basketball team. Her likable personality and prowess in sports make her one of the most popular among her schoolmates. While she's mostly known as a laid-back student, Chinatsu is secretly quite competitive, as she frequently arrives to practice at the gym in the morning even earlier than Taiki Inomata. Due to her parents moving overseas for work, Chinatsu's mother sends Chinatsu to stay with the Inomata family since Taiki's mother and Chinatsu's mother used to be teammates in high school. >! In chapter 45, Chinatsu is promoted to Vice Captain after the team's loss at nationals. Chinatsu's favorite food is Oyakodon, but she also likes omurice just like Taiki. Chinatsu has a tendency to appear out of nowhere behind Taiki and startling him, her own little way of messing with him. >! Chinatsu acknowledges she has developed a romantic interest in Taiki and compares her feeling to a "growing flower," a flower that hasn't had a chance to blossom due to her focusing on basketball. >! On Christmas eve, she expresses sincere gratitude towards Taiki for allowing her to mend her relationship with her childhood best friend, Yumeka. While Taiki simply says he's just returning one of the many favors she's done for him, Chinatsu leans in and hugs Taiki to express her gratitude, and maybe something else. The two share a long, quiet hug in an empty gym on that Christmas eve. >! While visiting Konami Lake in Nagano on her New Years Break with her family, Chinatsu messages Taiki to let him know she's gone smelt fishing near where the badminton team is taking their vacation. Seeing his opportunity to clear things up between them, Taiki leaves the group and rushes over to Konami Lake to see Chinatsu. The two meet on the frozen-over lake covered in snow. >! >! After catching his breath from running, Taiki looks into Chinatsu's eyes and tells her he likes her, a lot. Chinatsu reveals she's felt the same way.

Age: 16 (15 prior to chapter 109) Birthdate: January 15th Club: Boy's Badminton Club A member of his school's boys' badminton team. While not the brightest student, Taiki is both headstrong and hardworking, often giving his all when tackling many tasks. He very routinely goes to the gymnasium for voluntary morning practice, sharing the floor with his crush, Kano Chinatsu. His favorite food is omurice and his favorite person is his senpai, Chinatsu. He admires her talent and dedication greatly, and overall finds her mysterious behavior adorable. However, he often struggles to make sense of her actions and is a bit awkward in responding to her. >!
