Bleach: The Sealed Sword Frenzy

Overview

The Bleach OVA, "The Sealed Sword Frenzy," begins with a mysterious figure emerging from an exploding shrine where monks previously performed a sealing ritual. Meanwhile, Ichigo enjoys a quiet Sunday morning with Rukia and Kon until Yuzu reveals an attack on their father, Isshin. They discover the attacker is Renji, who explains an urgent mission from Soul Society. Before Renji can elaborate, Baishin attacks, severely injuring Ichigo. Hitsugaya intervenes, buying time while Urahara reveals Baishin is a Zanpakutō-less Shinigami, previously sealed away but now resurrected. Soul Society members (excluding Kenpachi and Yachiru due to navigational issues) arrive to assist. Ichigo, Rukia, and Renji confront Baishin at the ruins, but Baishin drains Ichigo's energy, leaving him incapacitated. Renji then uses his last energy to protect Rukia, and Hitsugaya fights Baishin, but they're both defeated. Ichigo regains consciousness, enters Bankai, and defeats Baishin, revealing that Baishin was one with his Zanpakutō and sought its return. The OVA ends with the Gotei 13 vacationing in the human world, showcasing humorous interactions among the various captains and lieutenants.
