Keigo Asano is a goofy, hyperactive, and somewhat shallow high school student. He's easily distracted by attractive girls, prone to dramatic outbursts, and enjoys frivolous activities like playing role-playing games and watching fireworks. He often tries, and usually fails, to impress girls and cheer up his friend Ichigo. While initially appearing somewhat superficial and focused on avoiding academic success, it's revealed he possesses a surprising level of intelligence and quick learning ability, though his arrogance sometimes hinders him. His loyalty to his friends, particularly Mizuiro, is evident throughout the series, even if his methods of showing it are often clumsy and comedic. Despite his comedic flaws, Keigo demonstrates underlying kindness and concern for others. He's genuinely worried about his friends and often tries to help them, even if his attempts are often ineffective or unintentionally disruptive. His reactions to serious situations, such as the battles in Karakura Town, show a capacity for fear and concern, contrasting with his usual lighthearted demeanor. His development shows a growth from a somewhat immature teenager to a more responsible young adult, as evidenced by his opening a ramen shop years later.
