Synopsis

Following the events of the previous seasons, Attack on Titan: The Final Season delves deeper into the mysteries surrounding the Titans and the world's history. Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert, along with their comrades in the Scout Regiment, face new challenges and threats as they confront the truth behind the conflict and strive to secure humanity's future. The final season covers the remaining arc of the manga's story and is presented in multiple parts, with the narrative and characters continuing to develop in ways that shape the destinies of the various key players within the series. The anime's animation was produced by MAPPA for this season.

Eren Yeager

Age: 15 >! 19 (After Time Skip) Birthdate: March 30 Height: 170 cm (5'7") -> 183 cm (6'0") Weight: 63 kg (139 lbs) -> 82 kg (181 lbs) Position: 104th Trainees Squad, Scouting Legion Graduation rank: 5th Eren is Shingeki no Kyojin's protagonist. His childhood friend, Mikasa, notes on numerous occasions that he acts on impulse without thinking things through, and she often pulls/carries/throws him when he starts fighting with others to protect him from himself. Along with Mikasa, he tends to spend his free time with their mutual friend, Armin. His father is a doctor (whom is well respected by Hannes and potentially many more) whilst his mother is a housewife. >! When Eren was a child, he saved Mikasa from being sold off when on a visit to her home with his father. Three men—killers of her parents—were in her house, and he killed two of them—one by slitting his throat and the other by charging at with a quickly assembled spear. Mikasa herself killed the third man after Eren urged her to fight whilst the man strangled Eren. After this, he gave Mikasa his scarf and Eren's father took Mikasa into their family. >! Later, when the Colossal Titan broke through Wall Maria the debris from this attack scattered and hurtled towards his home. He could only watch on as his mother—trapped under the rubble of their house—was eaten by a titan. This event lit the fire of revenge within Eren that he would kill all titans and not live a life cowering in fear. >! After the fall of Shiganshina at an unknown time, Grisha Yeager injected Eren with the titan serum which turned him into a pure titan, Grisha then allowed Eren to eat him so that Eren could inherit the Founding and Attack titan. Mikasa Ackerman

Age: 15, >! 19 (after time skip) Birthdate: February 10 Height: 170 cm (5'7") -> 176 cm (5'9") Weight: 68 kg (150 lbs) -> 70 kg (154 lbs) Position: 104th Trainees Squad, Scouting Legion Graduation rank: 1st Mikasa is Eren's childhood friend, along with Armin. Mikasa shares an unbreakable bond with Eren following events in their past, and rushes to protect him whenever he is in danger. Mikasa possesses impressive fighting skill and strength even as a child. As a teen, Mikasa is considered a genius among all the army trainees and is incredibly skilled at combat and agility. She constantly worries for Eren's well-being and lives to protect him. >! When Mikasa was younger, her parents were murdered and she was taken hostage to be sold into slavery. Eren managed to find her and killed two of the three kidnappers by catching them off guard, despite only being a child. The third kidnapper discovered the scene and began strangling Eren while holding him in the air. Mikasa, trembling, grabbed Eren's knife from the floor. In that split second, Mikasa came to terms with the cruelty of the world, gaining perfect control of her own body and using that strength to kill the kidnapper in a single strike through the heart—killing him to save Eren. >! >! In the aftermath of this trauma, Mikasa asked Dr. Yeager where she could possibly go from here. She was cold and had no place left to call home. Eren gave Mikasa his red scarf and Dr. Yeager welcomed her into their family. Because of Eren's heroics and this gesture, she feels she owes her life to the Yeagers. She continues to wear Eren's scarf from that day into adulthood, and they are inseparable. >! In the end she is the one to kill Eren, saving the world.

Armin Arlert

Age: 15 >! 19 (after time skip) Birthday: November 3 Height: 163 cm (5'4") -> 169 cm (5'6") Weight: 55 kg (121 lbs) -> 56 kg (123 lbs) Position: 104th Trainees Squad, Scouting Legion Graduation Rank: Outside the top 10 Armin Arlert is Eren's best friend. He is physically weak, but emotionally strong. Even though he lacks in actual combat skills, Armin is a genius in theoretical courses and can make plans even under extreme pressure. Even so, Armin keeps on thinking that he is weak. He himself does not notice the things he does for Eren and Mikasa and believes himself to be completely incompetent and hates himself for having to rely on Eren and Mikasa. >! After the battle of Shiganshina District, he took the power of the Titans from Bertolt Hoover and came in possession of the Colossus Titan.
